Jon Williams of Miami won the inaugural Swing Into Spring 5-Mile Run held Sunday morning at Tradition Field in Port Saint Lucie, as he covered the out-and-back course in 29 minutes, 5.5 seconds. Art Anderson, 50, of Melbourne finished second in 31:44.6 to win the Masters title, and Roger Travis of Fort Pierce was third in 32:24.4. A total of 43 runners completed the event. Each entrant received a ticket to the New York Mets-University of Michigan spring training game as well as a buffet brunch for post-race refreshments.
